Why the Revolution Group? Here is an excerpt from an interview with the Revolutionary Times that best answers that question.
Customer: Why should I work with The Revolution Group? RevGroup: We make the hiring process easier.
Customer: Yeah, but why should we work with you? RevGroup: We have a patent pending process that enables us to search for and locate people who are not necessarily looking to be located.
Customer: Okay. I am intrigued…tell me more. RevGroup: We have developed a method that allows us to harness the wide reach of email in order to quickly contact large numbers of people and broadcast our opportunities to reach the hidden candidates that are currently working or not yet in anyone’s database.
Customer: Can you help us attract a Diverse group of candidates? RevGroup: Of Course. In fact our proprietary search method reaches such a wide pool of candidates that we are able to locate many diverse individuals for your staff.

Customer: What percentage of your workforce is considered a Diverse Candidate? RevGroup: Currently, more than 40% of our consultants are diverse candidates.
Customer: Do you interview every person that you send to me? RevGroup: Yes. We will not allow a candidate to interview with a customer unless we have had a face-to-face interview with her/him.
Customer: Do you get a candidates permission to submit their resume to me? RevGroup: We always obtain a candidate's permission before a resume is submitted to a customer.
Customer: The biggest issue I have with your industry is the amount of unqualified candidates that they send to me. What does RevGroup do to insure that my time is not wasted?RevGroup: We live by our 3 Tenants of Success:
- Yes when it's Yes, No when it is No - if we say we can do it we will do it. If we cannot, we will tell you we cannot and won't waste your time with unqualified candidates.
- We Price and Pay Fairly - we will not be the cheapest nor the most expensive. You will always get a fair deal from The RevGroup.
- We Deal with Problems Quickly and Transparently - our business is people. People have their own will and sometimes things do not work out like they were planned. When that happens you can be assured that we will address the matter ASAP and do everything we can to solve the issue with as little involvement by the customer as possible.
Customer: How many candidates will I typically interview before I hire someone from you? RevGroup: Our goal is 1 Resume - 1 Interview - 1 Hire.
Customer: I have heard it said that you are twice as good as Ted Williams…what does that mean? RevGroup: Our Interview-to-Hire-Ratio is 80% - meaning 8 out of 10 people who interview are offered the job. That is 4 times the industry average! Ted Williams batted .406 in 1941. The last major league ballplayer to do so.
Customer: What is your Markup? RevGroup: We do not have a set markup. It varies per assignment. Many factors are considered including the difficulty to find someone (simple supply and demand) and the costs associated with the consultant. Payroll costs increase each year the last significant tax is the Massachusetts Health Care Reform charge that will be levied against us.
Customer: Can I hire your consultants? RevGroup: The simple answer is yes. We have various programs set up with our customers that take into consideration many factors including the volume of business, the term of an assignment, the hiring process, and the difficulty in finding a candidate.
Customer: How do you screen your candidates? RevGroup: We use a number of screening sources including but not limited to the following: technical testing, technical interviews with current consultants, probing and thorough reference checking, and careful background checking including criminal and drug testing.
Customer: Where do you find your candidates? RevGroup: More than 50% of our hires last year came from referrals. Everyone knows that referrals are your best hires. We make Referrals the cornerstone of our hiring sources.
Customer: What is the most important thing for me to consider when trying to hire someone from your company? RevGroup: Make sure you have a clear idea of what you need the consultant to do. Too often customers want to hire skill sets and lose focus with what the problem is that needs to be solved. Consider what you are trying to accomplish and we will work with you to develop a plan to find the right person for the job.
Customer: Why do you say you kiss frogs for a living? RevGroup: What we do all day long is hire people. As in the fable The Frog Prince, we need to screen a lot of people before we find the right candidate to present to our customer. Hence we kiss a lot of frogs before we come up with the Prince (or Princess) for our customer.
