Our Client is looking for a Security Engineer to be responsible for providing technology leadership and architectural vision for the department to deliver mission critical services on a national level. The candidate will also provide consulting support and guidance to the company on System technology initiatives related to the department's mission, and must be knowledgeable in the principal technologies used to deliver department services.

Duties

Design the technology infrastructure for the department's services.
Manage the department's consulting and engineering projects.
Contribute to general business planning regarding technology and systems required to maintain department and this companies operations and competitiveness.
Recognize new developments in information systems technology, and anticipates organizational modifications.
Establish long-term needs for technology related to the department's mission, and plan strategies for developing systems and acquiring hardware to meet those needs.
Function as a project liaison to assist end user organizations in determining information systems requirements and solutions within the scope of the department's services.
Develop and manage strategic goals, budgets, and human resources to meet the department's mission. Negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and insure compliance.

Requirements:

Must be knowledgeable in one or more of the following technologies; Active Directory, LDAP/PKI Directory, Meta Directory, Domain Name Services (DNS), enterprise firewalls, proxy/caching services, routing/switching, load balancing, network security, and SMTP email.
Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of 8 years of job related experience.
This position also requires applicable Licensing, Certification, or Registration.
All employees who are assigned to this position will be subject to credit, FBI fingerprint/ criminal background and Patriot Act/ Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) watch list checks at least once every five years.
