Our Client is looking for a Data Governance Administrator to be responsible for ensuring that information residing on computer systems is stored, maintained, and monitored in strict adherence with international, national, and regional compliance directives. The Administrator will need to implement policy, guidelines, and procedures to ensure best practices with regard to data governance and retention. In addition, they will need to respond to and investigate ad-hoc forensics and e-Discovery requests from various business units.

Duties

Analyze, investigate, and make recommendations regarding data governance solutions, data retention policy and procedures and IT forensics and electronic discovery solutions. Analyze, investigate, document, and report governance exposures.
Assist in establishing security policies and standards and ensure that employees are aware of existing governance controls.
Provide second-level support in forensic and electronic discovery investigations.
Monitor and review security reports from governance software; report findings as requested by IT Leadership Team. Participates in facilitating Internal and External Audit requests. Participates as a member of the Security Committee and the Disaster/Recovery Committee.

Requirements:

4-7 years experience in Information Security or Data Governance Administration, IT Security Products, Services, and Compliance policies and procedures (e.g. SOX, HIPAA, PIPEDA, SOC).
Ability to communicate with IT Executive and Legal resources.
Two years post high school education college or technical training.
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems or related field preferred.
Must have the ability to work flexible hours and in conditions that could require immediate, high-alert responsiveness.
