Our Client is looking for a Project Manager with health care experience from an insurance / claims perspective with a particular focus on running “data” projects. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, such as a former programmer, who is able to communicate effectively with business teams and leaders.

Duties

Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, on budget, following appropriate SDLC standards delivering specific, measurable results to business and IT partners.
Oversee the day to day direction and overall project responsibilities for associate resources.
Manage project components including financial management, quality management, control management, and business continuity management.
Ensure that the design and integration of proposed systems, software, and hardware solutions lead to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology.
Provide objective feedback, insight, and recommendations (which may include non-technical solutions).
Provide feedback, insight and recommendations, translating appropriate business needs into technology project solutions.
Analyze project risks, issues, costs, and benefits to make relevant recommendations, proposing evolutions and changes where needed.
Provide solutioning/assessment; partners with IT functions (e.g., architecture, vendor management, security, infrastructure, data warehouse) and uses understanding of current state business process, existing system functionality, and future state business requirements to design and implement solutions to meet business needs.
Ensure and actively participate in the review of existing application assets, services definitions, and requirements for reuse in solutioning.
Identifies and tracks business and/or technical issues and risks; resolves technical issues and risks; ensures execution of all mitigation plans.

Requirements:

8-10 years experience. 3+ years of Project Management experience, with demonstrated use of the project management "life cycle", including tools and methodologies.
Able to work very closely with technical staff and understand technical concepts and tools.
BA or BS degree in Systems, IT, Business Management, or related degree.

Desired:

An understanding of Informatica technology would be helpful.
