Information Security Administrator
Our Client is looking for an Information Security Administrator to be responsible for ensuring that information residing on their computer systems is adequately secured. The candidate will need to implement controls compliant with policy and procedures and through the administration of enterprise-wide security hardware and software systems. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for security ticket problem resolution and escalation coordination.
Duties
Design, test and implement user security software.
Analyze, investigate, and make recommendations for user security solutions and alternatives.
Analyze, investigate, and document security exposures and propose solutions, recommendations and/or alternatives.
Assist in establishing security policies and standards and ensure that employees are aware of existing security controls.
Provide second-level support in problem solving and handling customer issues regarding access difficulties and other user and system issues.
Monitor and review security reports from security-specific software; report findings.
Assist in investigating possible security breaches identified through review of audit logs or reports received from tools or individuals.
Participate in resolving confidentiality, security, and Internal and External Audit issues.
Coordinate implementation of vendor-issued security software updates.
Review plan to ensure compatibility of planned security measures with established computer security system software.
Participate as a member of the Security Committee and the Disaster/Recovery Committee.
Troubleshoot network access problems and implements network security policies and procedures.
Ensure network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
Requirements:
3-7 years experience in LAN/WAN, Active Directory, and/or Internet Services Administration, 3-4 years’ experience with IT Security Products and Services, 1-2 years’ experience with IT Compliance policies and procedures (SOX and HIPAA)
Two years post high school education college or technical training.
Good communication skills.
Must have the ability to work flexible hours and in conditions that could require immediate, high-alert responsiveness.
